Koranists love Jesus too! And we protest any idea that Jesus is equal to God and more than a man. Why?
1.Jesus stated that the Father was greater than him.
2.Jesus depended on food, water, rest and air to survive, even after his ordeal on the cross. God depends on nothing.
3.Many people have been declared medically dead and risen from this declared death. They were lifeless but they were not really dead. They SURVIVED. If medical professionals can still think that even up until today then think about Roman times!
Jesus SURVIVED his ordeal on the cross. They did not kill him on that cross or kill him at all. But we don't even know if he was really put on a cross because the New Testament also has him being hung by a tree. Despite those differences he survived! God bless him and honor him!
4.Jesus prayed to God. If he were equal to God, why didn't he pray to himself, or why would he pray to God at all?
5. Jesus' miracles do not support his being equal to God because he said, according to the New Testament that others would perform such miracles in his name and not be of him.
6. Lastly according to the New Testament Jesus said this:
""For whoever does the will of God is my brother and my sister . . ." [Mark 2:35]
So how is it that a Christian can ever claim that Jesus is his god when Jesus said that those who do the will of God are his brothers and sisters, his equals.
To disregard Jesus' words in prefence to the words of others is truly a sin indeed. Jesus declared that the Father was his lord and his god. So we protest Jesus' being more than a man and equal to God on the basis of logic and his words according to Christian records. And we declare that we love him too, and all of God's prophets and messengers.
May God Almighty, praise be to Him, continue to shower his love & blessings on Jesus Christ forever and ever!
First of all, let it be said, May God bless and honor Jesus, the Anointed, and may he be followed and his words heeded by all humanity.
