Quranists.com rejects adherence to the Hadeeths as divine guidance, and the idea that Muhammad was the perfect man for the following reasons,
1. The Hadeeths are taken as if they were the direct words of Muhammad and his contemporaries but they are rumors about Muhammad, the Koran and his contemporaries that span over 100 years after the Koran. (That is the case with most accounts of history)
2. Their integrity and method of authentication is faulty.
3. They are hypocritically used to interpret the Koran when the Koran is more historical than they are!
4. The Koran is never read and investigated first. Nor is it preffered over the Hadeeth in all matters. Just the opposite constantly occurs, and only lip-service is paid to the common agreement that the Koran should always be preferred over the Hadeeths.
5. According to the Koran, Muhammad (God bless him) had no place to explain the Koran, only to expose it openly, clearly and to judge (as all should) with it. But it is too often claimed that Muhammad was the one who knew best about the book and could explain it the best.
6. We protest Muhammad's being revered over Abraham, Jesus, Moses, and all of God's prophets and messengers. God bless and honor them all!
7. We also protest the fact that the terms "the prophet" and "the messenger" are only used for Muhammad, giving him preference over God's other prophets and messengers.
8. Lastly we protest against belief in the Hadeeth as absolutely true accounts of Muhammad's words and his companions' words, because they not only contradict each other but they also contradict the Koran. The Koran says that Muhammad revealed nothing but the Koran. There are also Hadeeths that say that any saying other than the Koran that came from Muhammad's mouth should be erased. With all of the above in mind Quranists.com questions why anyone would still insist that Muhammad's, or any of God's messengers', examples can be accurately found in these Hadeeths?
First of all let it be clearly stated, may God bless and honor His prophet and messenger, Muhammad. Secondly, let it be stated that ProGod.org does not take an Anti-Hadeeth stance. Quranists.com believes in following the example of Muhammad and all of God's messengers.
